Wow, did this section of the site ever get controversial fast.
I've been coming under a lot of fire for "internet panhandling", and I really don't think this is in the same vein. I'm not depending on the kindness of strangers alone to make this million dollars. This section is an oppotunity for you to participate in this project, to contribute to and own a piece of this story. If there's one thing I'm learning, it's that the response to this site is revealing everyone else's attitudes about money, and making this story as much about the audience as it is about me.
Want to own a part of this story? Want to be able to say that you had a hand in making this project happen? That's fantastic. How much should you donate? Whatever you feel is right. You can do that via PayPal by clicking on the image right here:
(These donations are not tax deductible, since I'm not a charity.)
Don't have a PayPal account? Still want to contribute some money? Click here to get my snail mail address.
Don't want to donate, and the very existence of this site enrages you? Tell me.
Check the FAQ if you're wondering what I'm planning on doing with this money.
I'm keeping a log of those who donate to list them in the end credits of the documentary. I'll be emailing you about it if you contribute so you have an opportunity to choose to be listed.
Finally, if you contributed your money, your time to follow this story, or mailed me something, thanks. Really.
